Guide:: |
| The
Best Inn welcomes its guests to the Entertainment Capital
of the World. |
| Entertainment... |
There's
never a lack of things to do in Hollywood, and the Best Inn
Hollywood is nearby several of Hollywood's attractions. Beginning
at the Kodak
Theatre, home of the Academy Awards, only half
mile away, travel a few blocks to the east and you're at the
famed corner of Hollywood and Vine. Entertainment venues such
as the Pantages Theatre, the Hollywood
Palladium and the Hollywood
Bowl are a short mile away in either direction. |
|
| |
| Studios... |
| If
you plan on attending live studio tapings, Paramount is just
2 miles to the south, while the fun of Universal Studios Theme
Park is a short 3 1/2 miles away - a trip made even easier
by taking the Metro Red Line. The station is a short 1/2 mile
jaunt near the Kodak Theatre at the corner of Hollywood and
Vine. |
| |
| Shows... |
You
can combine a little of traditional Hollywood with culture
and history by heading down Highland Avenue to Beverly Blvd.
Make a right and 1 mile to your left will be CBS Television
City, site of famed TV variety shows of bygone days and present
home to several CBS soaps. You can still obtain free tickets
to several shows still in production at the studio, from the
long-running "The
Price is Right" to the "Late
Late Show." |
| |
| Shopping
& Museums... |
Next
to the Television City complex is The
Grove, a great place to spend an afternoon of shopping,
dining or catching a movie. Travel south down Fairfax Avenue
to 3rd street and find the historic Farmers
Market, still a fun place to hang out after 70 years in
the same location. Continue further south down Fairfax to
Wilshire Blvd, where you'll come to the Los
Angeles Museum of Art (LACMA) and the world famous LA
Tar Pits. |
